NHS Right to Choose Waiting Times<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Assessments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Under the NHS Right to Choose<\/a>, you have the right to ask to be referred to Skylight Psychiatry instead of your local NHS service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some local NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) have introduced caps on how many patients they’ll fund at independent providers like us. Where a cap applies, it can mean a longer wait than usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is an ICB?<\/strong>
Your ICB plans and funds health services in your area. If you’re not sure which one covers you, please enter your GPs postcode into this ICB lookup tool<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list below shows our current estimated wait for an Autism or ADHD assessment, by ICB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We aim to send your assessment report to you by email as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Autism and Combined ADHD & Autism Reports:<\/strong> 4\u20136 weeks from the date of your assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • ADHD Reports:<\/strong> 5\u20137 weeks from the date of your assessment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Medication Titration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    If you’ve been diagnosed and are ready to start medication, the current wait for titration is approximately 24 weeks from when we receive your completed Medication Request Form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A note on these estimates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Wait times can change with funding, referral numbers and clinic capacity, so treat them as a current guide rather than a guarantee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Waits are counted from the date we receive your referral, not the date of your GP appointment \u2014 these are often different.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • We update the list below on the 12th of every month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
