We are an ethical service,
always acting with integrity and honesty
Skylight Psychiatry was set up by two professionals with a common goal to improve the lives of the neurodiverse population.
Dedicated to providing the right support for the neurodiverse population and through their own professional and personal experiences, identifying the ongoing imbalance between those waiting for formal assessments/treatment and the current support offered by stretched NHS services during a global pandemic, who do their best to provide this support.
The additional waiting times cause prolonged suffering for patients and this is one of the main reasons why Skylight Psychiatry was formed.

From Darkness to Skylight
An Ode to Enlighten our Hearts, Brighten our Minds and Illuminate Our Community
By Dr Ebrahim A. Seedat
A Shudder of Light, a Mix of Blue,
The Name of Skylight, Bold and True.
We are the Hope above the Rain,
A Brighter Faith to ease the Strain.
With an honest beam, our Foundation’s Core,
An Ethical Path for the Peace we Restore.
Every story, Unique, will be heard,
Listening attentively to every word.

Together, We celebrate every hue and tone,
Finding a Sanctuary where no one’s alone.
So let the path Home be Bright
Illumined by our Steadfast Might.
Facing a New Dawn, and in that Sight,
Take us by the Hand, O Embracing Skylight!
This poem reflects the values and ethos that underpin our work at Skylight Psychiatry.
Accessibility
The company focusses on being accessible for all, allowing patients to have consultations in their home environments where for most it would be less stressful than being seen within a clinical environment, and to offer face-to-face for those who in turn struggle with remote consultations.
Eco-friendly service
Our staff are also able to work from their homes for remote assessments, thus reducing the carbon footprint and allowing staff to have a better work-life balance.
Skylight Psychiatry is committed to providing an eco-friendly service as we are working towards being entirely paperless and carbon neutral in the near future. You can view our Environment Policy here.
Increasing awareness
Skylight Psychiatry has resources to make a meaningful impact in increasing awareness of neurodevelopmental disorders through training to employers, carers/family members, healthcare professionals and the general public. Through awareness, we strive to ensure that people with neurodevelopmental disorders are treated fairly with reasonable adjustments in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 and to break the stigma often unfortunately attached to these disorders.
