ADHD: The current estimated waiting time for an ADHD assessment is approx. 10 weeks, from the date we receive your referral to your first appointment.
Please note that this timeframe depends on your engagement with the pre-assessment process, including completing and returning the required forms.

Autism: As part of your Autism assessment, one of your appointments will take place face to face at your chosen Skylight Psychiatry clinic. Your estimated waiting time therefore depends on the clinic you choose, rather than your ICB.
Waiting times vary between clinic locations and are affected by factors including appointment capacity and clinician availability.
The waiting times below are our current estimates for new referrals received from mid-September 2026 onwards. All waiting times are estimates and may change depending on referral volumes, clinic capacity and clinician availability.

Surrey and Sussex ICB has a funding cap in place for the 2026/27 financial year, and the funding currently available to Skylight Psychiatry has now been fully allocated.

If you have already been referred to us but have not yet been contacted to book your assessment, your referral remains on our waiting list. We are currently awaiting further funding from Surrey and Sussex ICB before we can offer additional assessments.

Further funding is expected to be allocated from April 2027. Once funding is released to us, assessments will be allocated in referral order and we will contact you with an updated timeframe.

At this stage, we cannot provide an accurate assessment timeframe because the level of funding available for 2027/28 has not yet been confirmed. Funding may increase or decrease from April 2027, which may also affect waiting times.

Referrals remain open, so you can still be referred to Skylight Psychiatry and will remain on our waiting list while funding becomes available.
